About West Centenary
We provide adventurous, practical youth-development opportunities for young people in Brisbane's western suburbs as part of Scouts Queensland and the worldwide Scouting movement.
What Scouting is about
Adventure with purpose
Scouting is more than a weekly activity. Young people learn through experience—planning, solving problems, spending time outdoors, helping their community and reflecting on what they've learned.
Youth leading, adult supporting
Young people progressively take greater responsibility for choosing, planning and leading their program. Adult volunteers provide mentoring, support and a safe environment in which they can learn by doing.Skills for life
What young people can build
The challenges change with age, but the aim stays consistent: helping young people grow into confident, capable and engaged members of their communities.
